The wunderwaffe  is German for 'wonderweapon' and was a term assigned during wwii by the third Reich propaganda ministry to a few revolutionary 'superweapons'. most of these weapons however remained more or less prototypes and reached the theater of battle too late to have military effect. The Bell and the Foo Fighter were two wunderwaffe that still capture the imagination of ufologists today.

 DIE GLOCKE aka THE BELL
"The Bell" is said to be an experimental program carried out by Third Reich SS scientists working in the massive German D.U.M.B. (Deep Underground Military Base)weapons facility named after the Mountain Range nearby, Der Riese (The Giant) located near Wenceslaus mine, which was not for coal mining but for Uranium mining. The mine is located 50 kilometers away from Breslau a little north village of Ludwikowice Kłodzkie (formerly known as Ludwigsdorf) close to Czech border. The device was first stated to exist by Igor Witkowski, in his Polish language book Prawda O Wunderwaffe (2000, reprinted in German as Die Wahrheit über die Wunderwaffe), in which he refers to it as "The Nazi-Bell". Little was known or reported on regarding the device until it was popularized in the English-speaking Western world by journalist, author, and former British aviation editor Nick Cook, in his book The Hunt for Zero Point. Interest grew, and Witkowski's book was translated into English in 2003 by Bruce Wenham as The Truth about the Wunderwaffe. Further speculation about the device has appeared in books by the American fringe authors Joseph P. Farrell, Jim Marrs, and Henry Stevens. Witkowski visited the site for the UK Channel 4 doco UFOs: the Hidden Evidence and most recently the H2 doco In Search Of Aliens. The project began being called "Tor", meaning gate, in January 1942. Later the program was split into "Chronos", meaning time and "Laternentrager", meaning lantern bearer. The first experiments were carried out in May and June 1944. Many academics deny der Glocke and pronounce it as a myth - but they also said that about the nuclear and hydrogen bomb potential of the Nazi sciences by the end of WWII - which has since become more of a realistic fact with the Heavy Water evidence and radiation remnants in many tunnels of Austrian D.U.M.B's ...

Physical Description: Witkowski says it is 8-9 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide. Cook says it is 12-15 feet tall and 9-12 feet wide - Inside are 2 counter rotating cylinders on a common axis - Cylinders filled with or coated with mercury - Axis consisted of a hollow core that housed Xerum 525 - Inside of the bell was called possibly by liquid nitrogen or oxygen - The outer casing was a ceramic metal. Witkowski's source also describes the top being crowned with a hook or fastening.

Effects During Testing: A characteristic buzzing comparable to bees in a jar - Electromagnetic effects - Surges causing bulbs to blow - Bluish phosphorescence around it - Disintegration of tissue structures - Plants decomposed to a greasy substance, described as blackish, greyish goo - Formation of undefined crystalline structures in the liquid organic substance - Stratification of liquids into distinctly divided fractions.

Effects on the people involved: Sleep loss - Problems with their equilibrium - Formication a medical term for a sensation that exactly resembles that of small insects crawling on (or under) the skin  - Headaches - Metallic taste in mouth.

Chemical Engineering: Xerum 525 - An amalgam of mercury - Contained thorium oxide, beryllium oxide, and various heavy isotopes - Red Mercury - Physicist Frank Barnaby says based on recovered Russian documents that it is composed of mercury antimony oxide dissolved in ordinary mercury then it is placed in a nuclear reactor for about 20 days - It is possibly "salted" with isotopes of hafnium and tantalum - The end result is a very thick and heavy cherry liquid.

Chambers for testing - Usually located underground - Specially prepared chamber described as a pool - The surface was covered in ceramic tiles that were deactivated after testing with what appeared to be pink brine - Rubber mats were placed on the floor and destroyed after testing - Chambers were said to of been blown up after 2-3 uses - It needed a considerable power supply.

Areas of Testing: Neumarkt and Leubus (modern day Sroda Slask and Lubiaz) - Schloss Furstenstein (Furstenstein Castle) - Waldenburg disguised as a coal mine - Wenceslas mine at Ludwigsdorf (modern day Ludwikowize) - Disguised as a coal mine in a remote valley - "The Henge" possible testing rig at Wenceslas mine - Stands in a pool or basin - There are ports for large electrical cabling - Research carried out suggests that there are Isotopes in the construction which can only be from irradiation by a strong beam of neutrons.

THE HENGE aka FLY TRAP
A strange "Henge" like structure also called 'The Flytrap' was constructed by the Germans out of reinforced concrete with copper power cables the thickness of a man's arm leading down to the Bell storage facility beneath. This structure resembled a test rig for the possible test of extremely powerful propulsion devices. There has been many attempts to discredit the story of the Nazi Bell as nothing but a support base for a cooling tower for an electrical power plant. Whatever the truth is, the Nazis totally destroyed the Wenceslas mine before the Allies could liberate the area.

Foo Fighters

During WW II air battles, American and German pilots were experiencing the "foo-fighters" phenomenon. These strange flying blobs of light became a much feared element of American, German, and British pilots, as they would appear without warning, and often times complicate an already difficult situation. Even attempts by some U.S. pilots to ram them were in vain, as they flew right through them as if they were simply a mirage. There is not one documented case of any plane being damaged by one of the foo fighters, although there were reports of pilots scrapping a mission because of them. The foo fighter term itself is an enigma, being attributed to several different sources, but probably initiated with a comic strip fire fighter.

It is very interesting to note that the Robertson Panel listed several foo fighter incidents in their investigations, but also stated the at least some of them were a "metallic, disc-shaped object." Simply put, this means that some of the reports by the Allied pilots were referring to what would be later called UFOs. There have been sightings of the so-called foo fighters throughout history, and in many ways they are very similar to the modern day reports of "orbs." These strange balls of white light have been captured by many photographers and videographers around the world.
